A Disciple’s Quest

An Addiction Recovery Perspective

“A Disciples Quest”, provides an opportunity for the Holy Ghost to testify to attending participants that Jesus is the Christ.

Someone Who Understands

Jesus Christ knows and loves each person. The atonement is immediate and very practical in value in the everyday life that those in addiction recovery seek. Jed spent 25 years in the Rockn’ Roll world as a professional composer and performer. He personally witnessed and participated in many of the excesses and addictions relating to that lifestyle. Jed does not reveal in detail his personal Rockn’ Roll lifestyle experiences. He prefers to focus on the “Recovery and Redemption.” However, he shares enough of his underlying experience that participants understand that he understands them and their recovery journey.
The enabling power of the atonement strengthens us to do and be good and to serve beyond our own individual desire and natural capacity.
~ Jeffery R. Holland

I believe Heavenly Father sees the good things I do and allows the blessings associated with those good things to fall upon my children and grandchildren.
~ Jed K. LeFevre

What to Expect

Elder Boyd K. Packer declared: “There are times you cannot mend that which you have broken….Perhaps the damage was so severe that you can not fix it no matter how desperately you want to. Your repentance cannot be accepted unless there is a restitution. If you cannot undo what you have done, you are trapped….Restoring what you cannot restore, healing the wound you cannot heal, fixing that which you broke and you cannot fix is the very purpose of the atonement of Christ. When your desire is firm and you are willing to pay the uttermost farthing, the law of restitution is suspended. Your obligation is transferred to the Lord. He will settle your accounts.” Addiction recovery is a lifetime pursuit. Jed’s fireside will provide an uplifting evening of entertainment, support, and encouragement. Ultimately the spirit will testify that following Jesus Christ and striving to become like him, through the atonement, is the only way to realize true joy, happiness, and peace in this life.
